Cristiano Ronaldo does not have a club at the moment. The contract with Manchester United was canceled last week. Clubless Ronaldo is going to set foot in a new address after the World Cup. That address is not a club in Europe, Al-Nasr in Saudi Arabia!

Spanish media "Marca" reported that the two sides are in the final stages of negotiations. A two-and-a-half-year contract with a salary of 200 million euros (a little over 2,100 crores in Bangladeshi currency) per year has also been agreed.

Once the deal is signed, the 37-year-old Ronaldo will be the world's highest-paid footballer.

Ronaldo was also a United player when he set foot in Qatar to play the World Cup. His relationship with United was torn apart in the second week of November following an explosive interview. In the interview, he criticized United coach Eric ten Haag, some senior officials and the owners. Due to this, the news of the cancellation of the contract by mutual agreement of the two parties came.

Ronaldo, however, wanted to leave United in the latest transfer season. However, several media including Marca and Daily Mail reported that no European club agreed to take the five-time Ballon d'Or winner. At that time, Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal showed interest in him.

In an interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo also confirmed that a Saudi club offered him 350 million euros. Then he was looking for a European club to play in the UEFA Champions League.

According to Marca, the clubless Ronaldo has been offered a large sum by Al-Nasr of Saudi Arabia, which is several times higher than any club in Europe or the US Major Soccer League. Ronaldo gave a positive opinion about Al-Nasr as none of the major European clubs were interested.

Al-Nasr is the most successful club in the Saudi football league, winning 9 titles. Owned by Prince Faisal Bin Turki, the club is currently coached by Roma and former Marseille coach Rudy Garcia.

32-year-old Spanish centerback Alvaro Gonzalez and Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina also play for Al-Nasr.
