What is cricket?
Cricket is a team game of bat and ball in which two teams of eleven players take part. The game originated in England.
How many types of cricket?
There are three main types of cricket. E.g.- 1. Tests 2. ODI: 3. T20:
2. ODI: This 50 over game is also known as limited overs game.
3. T20: The smallest version of this cricket game is very popular. In this game of 20 overs, the spectators basically enjoy the four sixes of the batsman more.
4. There was also talk of a 100-ball version, but it was not as popular.
What is Test cricket?
Test cricket is the longest running version of cricket and is considered the highest standard. It is known to cricket fans as real cricket. Generally, the ability of a cricket team to play is considered as the main criterion for verification.
Test matches are played by teams with Test status representing the national level, determined and recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Eleven players from each team can take part in a maximum of four innings. It lasts for a maximum of five days. Of course, there were exceptions in some of the earlier Tests and Tests were played with more time. Generally, playing Tests is considered as the most complete test of a team's ability and endurance to play.
Test status?
Test 89 cricket is the highest level of cricket. However, statistically its data is taken from first-class cricket. Teams representing the national level, which has the status of playing Tests by the International Cricket Council, take part in it. As of January, 2019, twelve national teams are in Test status. Most recently, on June 22, 2017, Afghanistan and Ireland were given the status of participating in Test cricket. The Zimbabwean team temporarily suspended Test status due to their poor sportsmanship. After being away from the Test arena from 2006 to 2011, the team returned to the competition in August 2011.
Test-winning team?
Twelve men's teams are currently playing Test matches. All parties except England, West Indies and Ireland are independent countries. The International Cricket Council gives Test status to a country or an alliance of several countries. Teams that do not have Test status can participate in the ICC Intercontinental Cup if they wish. This competition has been made suitable for Tests with the status of first-class cricket. Below is a list of each team's Test debut:
